CATI & TIHI

Hi, we are Cati Pearson and Tihi O Tawa (Tihi for short) all the way from New Zealand. Tihi is a 2 year Bearded Collie/Huntaway X.

We spend our day’s mountain biking or exploring the wilderness, with Tihi being a common feature in our local forest, Whakarewarewa.

When were not our adventuring, Cati is working as a Dietitian in the local hospital, while Tihi is out playing in puddles (his favourite) or chasing bikes with who ever wants to take him for a spin. Our favourite place to go biking is Whakarewarewa where we have over 180km worth of single track through both native bush and forestry.

However we try to explore as much unchartered territory as we can, Tihi has special bird training and licences so we can go in our beautiful Department of Conservation land! We love our Lewis Harness that we ride in every day! It’s got a handy pocket for treats (or our GPS tracker), and a great handle that Cati uses to hold Tihi and direct him out of oncoming traffic as she often forgets her leads!

We have also been really enjoying using our 2 in 1 Rope & Bungee Lead recently as we have been training another dog, Ruby to be a trail dog. It’s fantastic to ride with having the extra give with the bungee and easy quick release of the D clip! We would recommend the Bark & Ride products to any trail dogs!
